Clipboard
open class Clipboard : GLibObject.Object, ClipboardProtocol
The Clipboard
type acts as a reference-counted owner of an underlying GdkClipboard
instance.
It provides the methods that can operate on this data type through ClipboardProtocol
conformance.
Use Clipboard
as a strong reference or owner of a GdkClipboard
instance.
The GdkClipboard
object represents data shared between applications or
inside an application.
To get a GdkClipboard
object, use [methodGdk.Display.get_clipboard
] or
[methodGdk.Display.get_primary_clipboard
]. You can find out about the data
that is currently available in a clipboard using
[methodGdk.Clipboard.get_formats
].
To make text or image data available in a clipboard, use
[methodGdk.Clipboard.set_text
] or [methodGdk.Clipboard.set_texture
].
For other data, you can use [methodGdk.Clipboard.set_content
], which
takes a [classGdk.ContentProvider
] object.
To read textual or image data from a clipboard, use
[methodGdk.Clipboard.read_text_async
] or
[methodGdk.Clipboard.read_texture_async
]. For other data, use
[methodGdk.Clipboard.read_async
], which provides a GInputStream
object.
-
Designated initialiser from the underlying `C` data type.
This creates an instance without performing an unbalanced retain i.e., ownership is transferred to the
Clipboard
instance.Declaration
Swift
@inlinable public init(_ op: UnsafeMutablePointer<GdkClipboard>)
Parameters
op
pointer to the underlying object
-
Designated initialiser from a constant pointer to the underlying
C
data type. This creates an instance without performing an unbalanced retain i.e., ownership is transferred to theClipboard
instance.Declaration
Swift
@inlinable public init(_ op: UnsafePointer<GdkClipboard>)
Parameters
op
pointer to the underlying object
-
Optional initialiser from a non-mutating
gpointer
to the underlyingC
data type. This creates an instance without performing an unbalanced retain i.e., ownership is transferred to theClipboard
instance.Declaration
Swift
@inlinable override public init!(gpointer op: gpointer?)
Parameters
op
gpointer to the underlying object
-
Optional initialiser from a non-mutating
gconstpointer

data type. This creates an instance without performing an unbalanced retain i.e., ownership is transferred to theClipboard
instance.Declaration
Swift
@inlinable override public init!(gconstpointer op: gconstpointer?)
