Surface
open class Surface : GLibObject.Object, SurfaceProtocol
The Surface
type acts as a reference-counted owner of an underlying GdkSurface
instance.
It provides the methods that can operate on this data type through SurfaceProtocol
conformance.
Use Surface
as a strong reference or owner of a GdkSurface
instance.
A GdkSurface
is a rectangular region on the screen.
It’s a low-level object, used to implement high-level objects
such as [classGtk.Window
] or [classGtk.Dialog
] in GTK.
The surfaces you see in practice are either [classGdk.Toplevel
] or
[classGdk.Popup
], and those interfaces provide much of the required
API to interact with these surfaces. Other, more specialized surface
types exist, but you will rarely interact with them directly.
-
Designated initialiser from the underlying `C` data type.
This creates an instance without performing an unbalanced retain i.e., ownership is transferred to the
Surface
instance.Declaration
Swift
@inlinable public init(_ op: UnsafeMutablePointer<GdkSurface>)
Parameters
op
pointer to the underlying object
-
Designated initialiser from a constant pointer to the underlying
C
data type. This creates an instance without performing an unbalanced retain i.e., ownership is transferred to theSurface
instance.Declaration
Swift
@inlinable public init(_ op: UnsafePointer<GdkSurface>)
Parameters
op
pointer to the underlying object
-
Optional initialiser from a non-mutating
gpointer
to the underlyingC
data type. This creates an instance without performing an unbalanced retain i.e., ownership is transferred to theSurface
instance.Declaration
Swift
@inlinable override public init!(gpointer op: gpointer?)
Parameters
op
gpointer to the underlying object
-
Optional initialiser from a non-mutating
gconstpointer
to the underlyingC
data type. This creates an instance without performing an unbalanced retain i.e., ownership is transferred to theSurface
instance.Declaration
Swift
@inlinable override public init!(gconstpointer op: gconstpointer?)
Parameters
op
pointer to the underlying object
-
Optional initialiser from a constant pointer to the underlying
C
data type. This creates an instance without performing an unbalanced retain i.e., ownership is transferred to theSurface
instance.Declaration
Swift
@inlinable public init!(_ op: UnsafePointer<GdkSurface>?)
Parameters
op
pointer to the underlying object
-
Optional initialiser from the underlying
C
data type. This creates an instance without performing an unbalanced retain i.e., ownership is transferred to theSurface
instance.Declaration
Swift
@inlinable public init!(_ op: UnsafeMutablePointer<GdkSurface>?)
Parameters
op
pointer to the underlying object
-
Designated initialiser from the underlying
C
data type. Will retainGdkSurface
. i.e., ownership is transferred to theSurface
instance.Declaration
Swift
@inlinable public init(retaining op: UnsafeMutablePointer<GdkSurface>)
Parameters
